the dragonfish



This fish is called the dragon fish and it lives in the deep-sea pacific ocean. This fish eats invertebrate marine animals. The eggs are picked up by males in their mouths after incubation. The male  dragonfish is just 5 cm, has no teeth, no chin barbel, a non-functional gut, and is dark brown rather than black. The female is much larger by 35 cm chin barbel, and long fang-like teeth, which are used for catching its primary food item - other fish. It Makes a light you cannot see to huntt its prey. Unlike almost all the other bioluminescent organisms in the ocean, it can glow and perceive a red as well as blue-green light.
